Winter semester
The first semester (winter) lasts from 1 October 2023 to 25 February 2024.
Ceremonial inauguration of the academic year (on): 2 October 2023;
Faculty inauguration of the academic year (till): 2 October 2023.
Teaching classes start on 3 October 2023 and continue until 28 January 2024;
Days off from teaching:
- 31 October 2023 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- 2 November 2023 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- from 22 December 2023 to 7 January 2024 - winter holiday break,
- from 12 to 18 February 2024 - inter-semester break.
Winter examination session: from 29 January to 11 February 2024.
Winter retake examination session: from 19 to 25 February 2024.
Electronic records after the winter session will be automatically closed by the USOS system on 25 February 2024 at 23:59.
Summer semester
The second (summer) semester runs from 26 February to 30 September 2024.
Teaching classes start on 26 February and continue until 16 June 2024;
Days off from teaching:
- from 27 March to 2 April 2024 - Spring holiday break,
- 2 May 2024. - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- one Friday in May - Rector's Day on the occasion of Students' Days (full-time and part-time studies),
- 24 May 2024 - Rector's Day on the occasion of the University of Łódź Feast (full-time and part-time studies),
- 31 May 2024 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies).
Summer examination session: from 17 June to 7 July 2024.
Break for summer holidays, study camps, internships, etc.: from 8 July to 30 September 2024.

- 2 November 2024 - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- from 23 December 2024 to 6 January 2025 - winter holiday break,
- from 17 to 23 February 2025 - inter-semester break.
Winter examination session: from 6 to 15 February 2025.
Winter retake examination session: from 24 February to 2 March 2025.

The second (summer) semester runs from 3 March to 30 September 2025.
Teaching classes start on 3 March and continue until 15 June 2025;

- 2 May 2025. - Rector's Day (full-time and part-time studies),
- one Friday in May - Rector's Day on the occasion of Students' Days (full-time and part-time studies),
- 26 May 2025 - Rector's Day on the occasion of the University of Łódź Feast (full-time and part-time studies),
Summer examination session: from 16 June to 8 July 2025.
Break for summer holidays, study camps, internships, etc.: from 9 July to 30 September 2025.
