Participants in the meeting at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education
Current experiences in the operation of doctoral schools, the first results measured by the number of submitted doctoral theses and directions for further activities were the topics discussed during the meeting.
We were invited to a meeting with the minister as representatives of the community of people managing doctoral schools. We treat this invitation as an important signal of the importance that the ministry attaches to the education of young scientific staff. Given the fact that Poland ranks lats but one in the EU in terms of the number of doctoral students per 1,000 inhabitants, cooperation in this area seems essential. The data and opinions we presented met with great interest on the part of the Minister. This makes me feel optimistic
