ABOUT 2+2 PROGRAM

The Faculty of Economics and Sociology actively cooperates with Zhengzhou University, Henan Province, China. This is the largest and highest ranked university in the province, and the cooperation is exclusively in the field of teaching. Within the framework of the signed agreement, the academic teachers of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology have the opportunity to teach the students of the aforementioned partner university, and the students of ZZU begin their studies at the Faculty within the framework of the 2+2 project. In 2015-2019, every semester the lecturers of the Faculty travelled to China, teaching Economics at ZZU. After a one-year break, from the winter semester of r. a. 2021/2022, faculty members are again participating in the programme by teaching remotely. As of 2024 teacher of the Faculty recommenced teaching onsite in Zhengzhou University.

ECONOMICS AT THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND SOCIOLOGY

2+2 two students complete two years of studies ath their home university, and then transfer to the second year of Economics and the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz.

Between 2012 and 2019, 130 students from different universities in China took part in the 2+2 transfer project. After graduating from the University of Lodz they went on to study their Master Degrees all around the world. Here are some universities they did their Master Degrees:

2+2 GRADUATES ABOUT THE PROGRAM

REQUIREMENTS

Students participating in the project should:

  • pass all the required courses in your Zhengzhou University​
  • get your ZZU’s approval​
  • have B2 English certificate 

Accepted English language certificates:

  • First Certificate in English (FCE)
  • Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
  • Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
  • Business English Certificate (BEC) Vantage
  • Business English Certificate (BEC) Higher
  • Certificate in English for International Business and Trade (CEIBT),
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  • European Consortium for the Certificate of Attainment in Modern Languages (ECL);
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at least 6 points
  • Test of an English as Foreign Language (TOEFL): at least 87 points in Internet-Based Test (iBT); or  at least 180 points in Computer-Based Test (CBT) supplemented with 50 points in Test of Spoken English (TSE); or at least 510 points in Paper-Based Test (PBT) supplemented with at least 3,5 points in Test of Written English (TWE) and with at least 50 points in Test of Spoken English (TSE); or at least 700 points in International Communication (TOEIC).

COSTS

Participation in the project is free of charge, however, you need to bear expenses related to preparing documentation, getting visa, your flight to Poland, tuition fee and living expenses in Łódź. 

Example of costs: 

  • tuition fee of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology - 2100 euro / year
  • dormitory - around 140 euro / month 
  • transport card - around 20 euro / month
  • living expenses from 300 euro / month
