ŁTF
The Łódź Photographic Society (ŁTF) was founded in 1949. Since 1957, it has operated a public Gallery of Photography named after the eminent Polish photographer Eugeniusz Haneman. In seventy years of uninterrupted activity, the gallery has presented over 800 photographic exhibitions. Several thousand of the most artistically significant works are stored in the archives of the ŁTF.
The Lodz Photographic Society is the oldest continuously operating photographic society in Poland. It regularly participates in reviews and festivals held in Łódź - e.g. Media Travel, Fotofestiwal, Festival of Dialogue of Four Cultures. It has become an important part of the cultural map of Łódź. It cooperates with foreign partners from Belgium, the Czech Republic, Finland, Spain, Japan, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Hungary, among others.
Since 2015, together with the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Lodz, it has been running the "Small Gallery of Photography ŁTF at Eksoc." The aim of this initiative is to promote good photography, foster creative attitudes, imagination, creativity, and deepen aesthetic sensitivity - especially among young people.
