The exhibition "Photoreportage by Włodzimierz Parys: Lodz 1970-1979" presents photographs which are divided into five districts of Lodz: Bałuty, Śródmieście, Widzew, Górna and Polesie. The opening is also announced by a photographic album of the same title. During the event, it will be possible to see 60 selected photographs from the album, which are part of a collection of 150 photographs that will appear in the publication.
Both the album and the exhibition will feature photographs, some of which were published in the socio-cultural weekly "Odgłosy", as well as many previously unpublished ones from the period when Włodzimierz Parys used to work as a photojournalist for that weekly.
The album by Artur Parys and the exhibition create an extraordinary photographic walk through the city, where the past intertwines with an artistic view of everyday life. Unique frames will allow you to feel the atmosphere of the city of a bygone era and understand its history through the prism of everyday life and urban changes.
