Zostań testerem aplikacji UŁ dla niewidomych!

The University of Lodz encourages students and doctoral students to take part in the test phase of a unique scientific project entitled "Friendly City". The innovative application will help visually impaired people to use public transport in Lodz independently, and will provide information about the location and content related to local architectural monuments. Applications are accepted until 17 March of the current year.

Who are we looking for?

  • People studying at the University of Lodz or pursuing a PhD degree at our university who are interested in urban issues, culture and art. 
  • People open to international cooperation and willing to participate in projects supporting people with disabilities.

What can increase your chances of participating in the project?

  • Experience in the organisation of walks or implementing photography projects or other projects related to visual arts 
  • Skills related to operating applications on Android and IOS. 
  • High average grade. 

What do we offer?

  • Opportunity to develop skills and gain practical experience in implementing artistic and social projects. 
  • Chance to present the one’s work results during seminars. 
  • Cooperation with experienced researchers and students of various study programmes, ensuring interdisciplinarity and diversity of perspectives

How to become a tester?

To take part in the call, you must complete the application form.

The call will include three stages, after which the tutors will collectively make the final decision on the selection of participants. The following will be assessed:

  • Evaluation of submitted applications (CV and portfolio of activities carried out so far). 
  • Interviews with authors of selected applications. 
  • Conversations confirming communicative knowledge of a foreign language (especially English, Spanish, Ukrainian).

The deadline for submitting applications is 17 March 2025.
