The UniLodz Science Hub – 2nd UNIC Edition
Teams operating within the Science Hub of the University of Lodz jointly undertake to solve real scientific challenges reported by partner organisations. Application or implementation research is preferred, regardless of the scientific discipline.
The implementation of the project at the Science Hub of the University of Lodz – UNIC edition is also an opportunity to establish contacts and exchange know-how with partners from the UNIC Alliance of European universities, which the University of Lodz is also a member of.
We encourage teams consisting of at least one student, on employee of the University of Lodz who will act as a scientific supervisor, a similar duo from another university being a member of the European UNIC Alliance and a partner organisation from Lodz or the region to submit applications. The application can be submitted online between 26 May 2025 and 31 May 2025 via the online form.
The UniLodz Science Hub – UNIC edition is a platform for the exchange of experiences and improvement of skills for all parties involved. Students receive support in the implementation of their first implementation research projects (including diploma theses), learn to work in a diverse team and develop competences in the field of Design Thinking and project management. Research supervisors have an opportunity to implement the results of their own research, establish new contacts, including international ones as part of the UNIC Alliance, and receive a financial allowance. Partner organisations gain solutions adapted to their current challenges, access to academic know-how and an opportunity to cooperate with experts from various fields.
The organiser provides moderation of the process, training and covers the costs of a 3-day visit to Lodz of team members from a foreign university from the UNIC Alliance.
Entry to the Competition
The competition entries are submitted by completing the online form available on the UniLodz Science Hub website in the "2nd UNIC Edition" tab. The application must include the required attachments, including a letter of intent from the partner organisation and participant declarations.
Schedule of the Competition
- Project submission deadline: 26 May 2025 – 31 May 2025
- Announcement of results: by 05 June 2025
- Project implementation: by 30 May 2026
