Badaczki EkSoc prowadzą warsztaty w ramach projektu IDUB

Dr hab. Katarzyna Zajda, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz and Dr Agnieszka Michalska-Żyła from the Department of Rural and Urban Sociology as part of the IDUB project entitled "Nauka dla Społeczeństwa" [Science for Society] conduct workshops throughout the country for representatives of Local Action Groups, as entities bringing together not only NGOs, but also representatives of the public sector (municipal offices, social welfare centres, schools) and the economic sector (local entrepreneurs).

These entities implement social innovations and perform a grant-giving function by themselves. The aim of the workshops is to develop prototypes of social innovations. Their participants include local government officials, representatives of rural non-governmental organisations and local entrepreneurs. The workshops are conducted using the design thinking method. The results of the work will be used by local action groups to implement the Smart Villages concept.

The number of entities willing to cooperate in creating social innovations in the countryside exceeded the wildest expectations of the organisers. The workshops will be conducted, among others, for the following entities:

  • Local Action Group Owocowy Szlak (Lublin Voivodeship) – more information (in Polish)
